Hey guys, (Sorry for posting it here, if it does not belong in this section, first time here)

Been looking to upgrade my old MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 motherboard since I wanted to upgrade to 8GB RAM but DDR2 is quite expensive apparently compared to DDR3..
So I decided to buy new a mobo, CPU & RAM all at the same time while I'm at it (Recently acquired a GTX 660 TI so a new GPU is not needed).

My question is:
Does this CPU- "AMD FX-4350 4-Core 4.3GHz AM3+ 12MB Cache 125W retail",
this RAM- "DDR3 8GB PC 1600 CL11 G.Skill KIT (2x4GB) 8GNT"
this GPU- "ASUS GTX660 Ti-DC2T-2GD5"
& Motherboard- "MSI 970A-G46"?

Work good together?
Wouldn't have the faintest idea..

I know the GPU is PCI3.0 & Mobo only PCI2.0 - but that almost does not make a difference.
Another thing I don't understand is the "Max Bus Speed", what does this mean?

Thank you for reading this - If you could help me, that would be GREATLY appreciated! ^^

Yes it would be perfectly fine, all the components you've chosen will be compatible. But if you can save a little bit more, upgrade you CPU bro...

The bus speed is like the speed being shared altogether by your RAM, GPU, CPU, and NB. If you try to increase it, all will be OCed. It is harder to OC thru the fsb, it's riskier because it WILL cause instability. That's why it's easier to OC thru your CPUs multiplier so that you ONLY OC your CPU.

Howdy Adi!

Why thank you very much for responding, what CPU would you recommend? I cannot go over 110Euros unfortunately...
Really want 4 cores, no more, no less - with the highest clock speed available?
I never do Over Clocking btw..

Howdy Cin,

And what if I will never OverClock? Would that motherboard suffice then?
(Never OC'd & never will)

Thanks!

It will be fine, but if you buy the FX6300 + Asus M5A97 R2.0, I think they are good combinations. Or FX 6350
FX6300 £84 + Asus M5A97 R2.0 £59.00

Howdy!

I'd really like a 4 core though, since more then 4 cores isn't supported by any game out there ATM..

Can you recommend me a good one?
Want the highest possible Ghz for every core..
Preferably not over 120euros..

Thanks!

Yes almost all games doesn't support more than 4 cores, but the speed of the 4350 compared to the 6350 at stock is huge bro. And the price diff is not that much. The new BF4 will need more than 4cores, as what they've said. I mean, for just around 10euros, why not get the 6350. :) But if you're really fixed with the 4350, fine. :) It's still ok. :)
