Hi,

I'm running a dated system and trying to get it to work as well as possible without buying anything. After recently acquiring a new cpu cooler i've tried overclocking it but have zero success. I've overclocked various cpus/mobos before but am really struggling with this one. The parts are a bit old school so bear with me.

CPU: Core Duo E6750
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35C-DS3R (F12 bios)
Memory: 4x 1gig PC6400 OCZ memory
Cooler: Zalman CNPS9700
PSU: Alpine 2 600w
Graphics: 9600 GT 1gb

Basically i've tried overclocking the CPU but everytime I try to change the FSB manually it resets at post and reverts back to its old settings.
I've tried taking some memory out, deactivating various settings for the CPU, set everything manually but it still crashes even when I set its FSB manually to the stock speed (333mhz). Any advice/options?

P.s. CIA2 works and will get the cpu to 3.2ghz no problem.
