hello everyone.

im in a dilemma here choosing the best 280x i can in the right money.
so im writing this thread so people with more knowledge in this matter can help me.
im between these 2 cards:
1)http://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/OffersOfProduct/4095087_-matrix-r9280x-p-3gd5-3072mb-asus.html
2)http://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/OffersOfProduct/4097754_-radeon-r9-280x-toxic-3072mb-gddr5-sapphire.html

which one should i choose and why, if there is any other card better than these in the same amount of money im willing to take a look? any help will be appreciated.

Trouble? it's fun dude you just need to know what your doing and use the right fluid like non conductive so if it does leak theres no chance of damage hapening. this is my second extreme watercooling build and ive only had one leak happen and that was from a bad 45 degree angle fitting and coolant got on my cards but good'ol phobya coolant is non conductive so no damage happened :)

Its amazing that the 7970 is like two years old and still kick ass, talk about longevity man!

You're telling me on the 3dmark hall of fame theres a japanese dude that OC'd 4 7970's to 1400/2000 beating a few quad titan setups. if the 290x is the same kind of monster i will consider another crossfire setup.

Depends on what you want, the toxic is a 2 slot design and the matrix is a 3 slot design, which is significantly larger, I've also heard that the toxic is voltage locked, significantly limiting any further overclocking, whereas the matrix isn't voltage locked.

Asus coolers are also very reliable and quiet, but when it comes down to it, it really is about preference.
