Hello. My graphics card has been slowly but surely dying on me for the past couple of years causing CTD's, then BSOD's and more recently complete loss of visuals and system lockups. I was just after some advice as to what card I should replace it with. I currently have a Geforce 8800 GTS on an Asus P5K Motherboard. As some of you may know the card has been out of production for many years. I am none too keen on buying the same one secondhand. To cut it short, I'm looking for a card of the same standard that will fit my motherboard, (I'm not particularly looking to upgrade as I'm happy with what it can do) and am hoping not to spend more than £100 although I can stretch slightly if need be. Thanks in advance :)

*EDIT* Sorry. Should have added that this is primarily a gaming PC. However the reason I don't want to upgrade much if at all from my current (and broken) card is A, money and B, in the whole time I've owned it I've only missed the minimum spec for a video game once. (Rome TW2, not a buff enough processor)

The Asus 650 might be the winner. Just seen one for £80. Very tempting. Thank you :D

*EDIT* Faster and £10 cheaper nathanr. I like :p

Not to be further confusing but here is the current line up from Nvidia. More memory equates to higher resolutions and better textures in games, not necessarily more speed. Adding in the 400 and 500 series cards would be further confusing, so lets just stick to the latest.

If your goal is performance the GTX650 1GB for around 80 is about the best bang for the buck, you can even carry it forward to a new machine later.
