So, at the end of the year I'm planning on upgrading my motherboard to a 990FX and CPU to an FX-8350. But I started doing some research and I worked out that my Antec HCG-520W should be able to handle 2 7870's in Crossfire. Obviously this unit only has 2x 8pin PCI-E, in order to run 2 7870's I would need 4 6pins. However I think that it is relatively safe to use dual molex to pcie adapters, so that is what I would do, as molex cables hold 60W and pcie6pin holds 75W, so 2x molex would be more than enough to substitute a 6pin. According to my research and some online PSU calculators, as long as I don't overclock or anything the PSU should have just enough power to handle this.
So wha do you all think?
By the way, the PSU has 40a @ 12v. Single rail.
