Hi Expert,
I fly FSX and resently I bougt, an XFX Ati Radion HD7950 Double Dissipation. Every time I start the game there is an error message: g3d.dll causes my system to stop starting. I have been searching forums and tried a lot of thing; repair of FSX Accelleration, repair of W indows, updated FSUIPC, renewed fsx.cfg etc. Nothing happened, still the same. Should I sell my Ati card and buy geForce? Or is there a solution at last? Please help!
My system: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits Servicepack1. Ashrock 980 Extreme3 mobo, AMD FX8150 processor 8cores, 16GB ram. Windows, FlighSimulatorX and Accelleration installed on OCZ Vertex4 512mb.
By the way, FS2004 runs very nice, no mistakes and high framerates.
Kind regards,
Wil

I am sorry to hear that it didn't work. Hopefully the Nvidia route will be better for you!

I would download Driver Sweeper and remove all Nvidia and AMD drivers. I would also remove Direct X and re-install the latest version followed by the graphics card drivers. This should resolve your issue.

Please let me know if this works!

Hi jkhoward,
This evening I did your "receipt". Driver Sweep did his job, but the graphics card will not work together with FSX. Still the same error. I think I give up and go for nVidia. Thank you for your advice and time.
