I did the win 8.1 update on the17th. PC worked fine the next couple of days, yesterday evening my homegroup disappeared. then this morning I got up and couldn't get on the internet, wired connection. Messed around with it, finally disabled firewalls, ipconfig /renew, enabled firewall and it worked. however, the internet is painfully slow. i have four other PCs in the house, wired & less, all are fine. i have not changed any settings or installed anything new other than 8.1. any clues? thanks for your time.
