Hello, I want to upgrade my current mobo (HP's Carmel2), it doesn't support a lot of the newer processors so I want one that will work with the current high-end processors (6-core i7's etc.) and that allows me to put 16 GB or more of RAM in it. Can anyone recommend some good motherboards for me to purchase, my limit is about $150. Thanks!

I'd look at the Asus Z87-Plus for that price point, very good mobo, I did my Haswell on a Asus Hero, and fully expect it to be running 4 or more years from now

I'm definitely looking for an Intel K model, not sure which CPU to get though. I've been looking at some that are in the $250-$350 range but I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading to from an i5-2400

Okay, well I've been looking at the i5-3570k & i5-4670k, which motherboards would support these & possibly future higher-end ones?

I actually am looking at an i5 4670k. That looks like a good mobo, do you think it would support future/higher end chips that release within the next 2-3 years?
