My 4770K reads 40 degrees Celsius in the BIOS menu. I have a corsair H100i liquid cooler for my system. Is this normal or safe(for the CPU)? Also the temperature of the Motherboard reads 28 degrees Celsius. Thanks for any answers

Check in Windows what the core temps are at idle and see what you get. A program like CoreTemp or HWInfo can do this.

Also, what is your ambient temperature?

I'm kind of new so I don't really know what ambient temp is.

The ambient temperature is the temperature of the room your computer (or whatever object is in question) is in.
