Hi everyone. I am having these weird issues where my computer would randomly shut down or BSOD when graphics intensive apps are used.
Reinstalling my AMD drivers would work for about a week, then the issue would come back. I have an HD 6850 with Windows 8. Any help would be appreciated!

Solution
Possibly, could be a few things, might check for all the latest drivers, might scan for virus and also for Malware, might run a registry cleaner (Wise has a good free one), could run System File Check to check for corrupt system files 9 go to command prompt as Administrator type SFC /SCANNOW and hit enter

Thanks for the reply! I had the latest drivers for everything except my motherboard bios. However, the PC worked for months prior to this issue so I don't think that motherboard bios could be the problem. I have an i5 2500k with 8GB of RAM, no OC on either. Ran memtest for 12 hours with no problems. Tried different GPU and had the same problem. I've had this problem for a very long time so I tried mostly everything I could think of.

Its a TX650, it's only a little shy of 2 years old. Also during my Blue screens, the computer would just shut down before the dump file is even written! And then my PC would try to restart, but there would be no motherboard splash screen. So it would try to reboot again, but again no mobo screen. This would repeat 2 - 3 times and finally the computer would display video. Could it still be the PSU?

I have this crazy idea that it is the fault of MSE either failing to catch a virus I had, or MSE deleting an important system file. Right before the last crash I had, I updated the database on Windows Defender. Also, this is the first install of Windows where I've never used an external anti virus such as Norton.
