I can't believe I forgot about this card, too! The HD 7770 is also another option and is the highest I would recommend for that resolution. You really don't need anything more powerful.

I know you said your budget is $300, but you're going to be spending between $65 and $110 for any one of the cards that have been recommended so far.

Back to topic, it should be able to play some games at min settings at tiny resolutions
If you really need a cheap card to get by, the 6570,6670, and the new r7 240 and 250 are all better than the 5450
