SLI 2 GTX 650 Ti Boost, or Single higher GTX card?

Current system specs:

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme4
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
RAM: 8Gb DDR3
Current graphics card: Radeon HD 5750

I want to upgrade to an Nvidia GTX card to run the latest games and there have been a lot of deals on them lately on Newegg. I was wondering if it would be better to SLI 2 cards or buy a single higher level card for the same price.

Thanks!

You're best bet atm is to either sli 2 r9 270x's or just buy one r9 280x, I love nvidia but right now there prices are terrible.

$220 give or take. That's the price for the 2 650 Ti's currently. I can wait if it would be better to though.

Actually you're right, it might be better for me to wait with the release of the R9 series... As much as I want some Nvidia cards they're getting beaten by AMD.
