That cpu won't bottleneck a 7870 for the most part, games like planetside 2 will make your cpu the bottleneck 99% of the time though, but for typical gaming, you should be fine.

I have thought about doing that. Is it possible to remove the default CPU fan and install an aftermarket cooler without messing it up?

Wow for some reason I never thought it would be possible to do something like that.thanks for the advice. I know it might be a bit of a stretch but do you have one you would reccomend?

I'd recommend watching some youtube videos first lol, if you're happy with the performance you're getting out of the 7850 and the 5800k at stock, you can hold off that until you feel comfortable doing the install+overclock

Check the dimensions of your case and the length of the EVO, so you know if it'll fit or not prior to even considering buying it xD

Well the main reason I'm thinking about buying it is because I heard this graphics card runs a little warm sometimes so I like the idea of having some extra cooling power in there.I will research it some more for sure. By the way sorry for the awful grammer spelling and all of that. I'm on a stupid tablet and its really hard to type.

Well yeah maybe what I said didn't make any sense, what I ment was if something in my case is going to be hotter then I would,d like to try to balance out by making the CPU, cooler to help it out. Mabye I just dont understand.

Lowering CPU temps with an aftermarket CPU cooler won't have any direct effect on your GPU temps. However the EVO pushes a lot of air around and should slightly bring down the ambient temp within the tower which could help out your GPU temps a little. Definitly dont try to mount the EVO to your GPU lol. Manually set your fan to 100% with Afterburner like roland mentioned and put your graphics card to work. If its running hotter than is healthy its not the cpu's fault.

I guess it's probably due to the reference cooler which tends to run warm (70s to low 80s). He meant what you just said, just messed up the word placement a bit lols xD. Yep, set the fan to go to 100% once you hit 85c or something on the fan curve and you can just let it run.
