i have noticed the specs of these two boards are almost identical but i want to make sure before i go out and sell my h61m itx and get the ecs to save up on cash. is the asrock h61m itx only more expensive because it is itx or does it have more or better features than the ecs that i dont know about?

itx is the form factor of the board. the standard is either microATX or atx.
you will have to get an ITX board to run the asrock h61m.

other then that, the only difference i can see is that the asrock h61m-itx has USB 3.0, where the other one does not.

only if you have products that use usb 3.0, or if you plan on getting any.
data transfer for usb 3.0 is much faster then 2.0
other then that, i don't see the need.

there are thumb drives, mice, keyboards, external harddrives, external blue ray players. the same as usb 2.0. you can use a usb 3.0 device on usb 2.0, its just not as fast.
