So I am trying to record myself playing Dead Space 2 so I can make a Playthough of it on Youtube, but for some reason, the game is running like crap! It's on High (not Ultra) and even with recording at the same time my CPU never go over 40% and my GPU is never over 30%.

I have a GTX 680 and a Intel i7 3770K. I dont see why the game would still lagg with this hardware. My suspicion is that it was just poorly ported to PC from console.

well, lets try setting your computer up a readyboost.
it may help, and it may not. i guess we will find out!

plug it in, whichever it is.
only one though.
go to computer, right click on the drive, and click properties.
click on readyboost.
click on 'Use this device'

if that doesn't work, is the game on steam? or is it from a disc?

if its on steam, go on steam, find that game in your library and check the file integrity.

if you need help doing that let me know!

just read online, you should also try and turn off Vsync.
hopefully one of those works! let us know if it doesn't!

EDIT
make sure to restart your computer after you do these.
try running the game after restart before running the video software and see if that does anything.

I'll give it a shot, but between my SSD and 8BG or RAM I dont think it will help much. I already tried the File integrity thing with steam and still nothing :(
I honestly thing the game is just not made to run well on PC. Still, I'll give it a shot and let you know what happens.

Thanks again for your help man!

i actually didn't see any lag! but, its also a lot easier to feel the lag then to see it 2nd hand.
i read that there are a lot of problems with that game and mouse lag.

i subscribed, by the way! haha.

this is such a weird problem.. its very frustrating.
you have the specs needed, and i honestly can't think of anything else other then to try and update your graphics driver.

Haha, thanks for subscribing! If you go look at other playthrough of the same game you would see the lagg more clearly. check out my first video and a playthrough of the same area. You will see it.

I'll just call it bad porting haha

Have you tried recording using fraps? If you were using msi afterburner there were tool to record games as well with the utility. Also you might be interested with nvidia shadowplay since you have GTX680

I tried playing it without any recording software and it was still lagging which is why I believe this is a game issue.

I cant tell you how exited i am about ShadowPlay! Iv'e been waiting for it since they announced it :D
