I just installed my new system, and no action when I boot up. The CPU diagnostic LED lights up on my motherboard. I removed the Corsair H100i pump unit to see if there was actually contact with the CPU, which there was, no problem. I reapplied thermal paste and up it back on, but of course, still no go as I changed nothing.
The hardware in the system:
- ASUS P9X79-E WS
- Intel Core i7-4930K
- Corsair Dominator 32GB DDR3 (4x8GB)
- ASUS GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II
- Creative Sound Blaster ZxR
- Corsair H100i
- Corsair HX1000
I was grounded while installing this and touch thie case and PSU throughout the installation, so I don't think I shorted anything.
The other diagnostic LEDs blink when I power the system on, as they should when things are working, so I'm guessing it's just the CPU. When I check for a connection between the pump and CPU I also took out the CPU to clean it of course, and to make absolutely sure that it was inserted correctly (it wouldn't fit otherwise, so naturally it was).
Any suggestions?
