Hi, i'm just building my first ever build using this case. I appear to have some cables coming from the front panel that are spare or I do not know where to put.

I seem to have a black and brown Y shaped cable, and one or two two-pronged ones that seem to have no use/are not labeled to go on my gigabyte 990fxa mb.

Anyone else have this issue?

Any header cables should be labeled as to what they are, i.e.; HDD (hard drive light), Reset (reset switch), Power (power button), USB (USB connections), and etc...You can also refer to the case manual or manufacturers website to identify what the header cables are used for. If they are not labeled or identified, you can also simply trace them to the particular connection on the case.

I have had enclosures where there were more connections to the front panel than my motherboard supplied, like external SATA, FireWire, audio inputs, etc.

If your motherboard does not have a matching connection, then just wire tie the cables and tuck them away inside the case somewhere they won't interfere with the other cables or airflow.
