Hello,

I am looking forward to build a gaming rig with following specs:

    AMD FX 8350
    Asus MA597 EVO LE 2.0
    NZXT Lexa S
    Dell S2240L Monitor
    Kingston Hyperblu (2GB) X 2
    Microsoft 2000 Wireless Keyboard
    Corsair Tx650M PSU
    XFX R7850 2GB
    800VA UPS

It would be great if some could review this and let me know if anything is wrong or better parts is preffered.

Note: My gaming rig should be future proof as much as possible
(Pls dont suggest Intel Processors  )

Thanks in advance!

LOL almost afraid to ask this, what do you have against Intel?

Anyway.
Start by giving us your budget?
Where are you purchasing from?
Are you planning to overclock?
Do you ever plan on going dual graphics cards?

My initial assessment is that you are not spending enough money on a graphics card for gaming at 1080p.
So if you provide the above info, then we can try and balance it out to accommodate.

Lovely setup. If you like to play games on high+ settings, you should consider getting a 7950/7970 instead of af 7850.
7850 isn't really gonna hold up much longer with all these new GPU demanding games coming out.

I can tell you right now you're going to want 8 GB of ram, especially for the 2014 lineup of 64 bit games (and late 2013). But yes, answer the questions Novuake asked and we can get to critiquing.

Two reasons for being against Intel
1) I am a AMD fan boy
2) I dont want to spend so much for a processor, (my all time purpose is pure gaming, nothing else. So, AMD suits me)

I am from Bangalore, India, so I prices here will be different from newegg etc.

Overall my budget is close to $950.

Overclocking and dual cards are always second option for me, I prefer not to engage those atleast for 2 years from purchase. ;)

Is XFX R7850 2GB not capable for 1080p gaming :??:

My monitor : http://www.ebay.in/itm/DELL-2240L-/111030851253#ht_7179...

Resolution: 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz

If so, pls suggest a card for 1080p gaming with decent high settings (not the max AA, but overall high quality @ ~50 FPS)

I will be using only one screen, even in future!! :D

Oh no!
What about R9 270X?
I dont want 1200W PSU generating huge power bills please.
So suggest a card that can run with 650W PSU or 750W if required.

Again, AMD preferred but if you can show any proof that Nvdia card can perform better at the same price range, I would appreciate your help !!!

Definitely, for time being its 2GB X2 (Kingston HyperBlu).
Later it would be 2GB X4.

Also which is most advisable pairing:
1) 2GB X4 = 8GB or
2) 4GB X2 = 8GB

My Mobo has 4 slots, in case future games demand more than 8 GB inital requirements then I would run out of slots if I chose the 1st option. If I chose the 2nd option then I can still put 8 GB more :)

The R9 270x is just a slight boosted version of yours 7850. The 7950 is still better. You should get the 7950.

I agree, but I am in a tight budget, can I use XFX R7850/ Asus 7850 2GB card to play games for about say 3 years, then I can upgrade it to a better one, that time I can go for the super costliest card :D

What do you feel?

The HD7850 is CAPABLE of it, for higher settings you are gonna need at least a R9 280 / HD7950 sort of graphics card.
Especially since you are getting an 8 core CPU.

Definitely, no one would stick with 7850, while better ones are coming off :)

So, the build is good right?

Hope I cleared your doubts on why I am preferring AMD than Intel :D

Well, the 7850 wont be good for long. If you're to play BF4 for example, you'd definitely need to get atleast the 7950, if you want a smooth gameplay.

Yes, your build is good enough! Just upgrade your RAM to 8gb and a new GPU. Then you'll be safe within the next few years.

Still the same brand!
This one is something you should consider getting instead of XFX.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Now this one is the XFX. See the difference ;) . The heating issue is caused by the one fan on XFX. So you're better of with two fans! :)

LOL you will mostly be seeing the back of the card anyway through that panel, not the cooler on top.

At last, decided to go with Asus 7850, if possible 7950 :)
