Last week, I was able to access web sites before going to work. When I came home, I could not load anything. My wife had been using my computer. When she somehow breaks my web access, centurylink has always been able to fix.this time around, they haven't been able to restore we access.
All my other computers work fine. My dell is completely blind to the web. Did a deep scan and only found Sendori which was quarantined. Power cycled modem and router. Tried Firefox & Chrome. No website will load. Dungeons & Dragons online won't load.
System restore didn't work. I went back to the restore point where I had web access.
I've exhausted my basic networking knowledge. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Update: ipconfig says media is disconnected. Device mgr says NIC is working. Router has a green light for desktop connection & for internet. Connections are tight.
Modem is C1000a, router is net gear WNDR4500.
Is it possible NIC needs replacing?
