Hey there last night my pc wouldn't boot. Its done this before and I'd fix it by changing the boot options to run the correct hard drive with windows 7 os on it. But now it's different my mother board isn't recognizing the hard drive at all I've tried switching power cords and even used the cords that work on my other hdd's to see if that may be the problem and the suspected bad cord to the other hdd's and those worked so I'm thinking that the hdd is shot. Cause everything says that its not detected. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm running an:
asus maximus IV gene 3gen lga 1155
Mushkin chronos 260gb and 120gb ssd sata3(this is the ssd that doesn't work.
Amd 7970 black edition 3gb ddr5
G skill 16gb ram 4x4gb
Intell core i7-2600k sandy bridge 3.4ghz
High current pro 850watt power suply

Thanks.

Solution
First do a CMOS reset then start the computer with your windows installation disk, Try to run a repair on windows and see if the windows repair can detect your hard drive.
