I am almost finished purchasing all my components for my i5 build. Here is what I have:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core $228.49
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $29.98
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H ATX LGA1150 $138.49
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 $89.99
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $69.99
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7950 3GB $159.00
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower $69.99
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer $16.98
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Premium SP1 64bit $87.89

Can you give me some ideas on a good PSU? I would like to keep it under $100.00. thanks for your help!

Solution
-the seasonic is excellent
-the capstone is also excellent, roswell is the newegg inhouse brand, generally they're all rebrands of something else so their psus can run the gauntlet from great to terrible, thats one of the best ones they make, and its about on par maybe even better then the seasonic (they're close).
-the xfx is just a rebranded seasonic M12II series psu... it's good but nowhere in the class of the other two.

I found this one. It's only $20.00 more but it has free shipping and it's a 750W.

You didn't link anything. Besides 650W is plenty for a Single GPU setup, 750W is overkill. Plus the one he listed is Bronze Certified and Modular.

corsair, antec, xfx and seasonic all have pretty good reputations... seasonic generally is the gold standard for psus. make sure it's atleast a bronze rated psu, and that it's haswell "ready" (most modern psus should be good for haswell, the issue is the low power modes require some fine voltage regulation by the psu)

your build don't need more then a 500W psu... though if in the future you want to add a 2nd 7950, you probably will need a 800W unit.

Depends on how much her overclocks. 650W gives him plenty of headroom for both CPU and GPU overclocks.

Sorry about that. Here are the two I am thinking of. I am not ruling out his 650w but the 750w is only $13 more and its Silver.

Does the description have to say "Haswell Ready" to be compatible with the i5 Haswell?

Do I need a PSU that says haswell ready or will I be ok with the XFX?

The PSU doesn't need to say Haswell Ready, you'll be fine.

I think I am going with the Rosewill. I am not going to run 2 cards at this time so should I go with the 550w or the 650w for my build?

both are fine. 550 will cover you fine even with an extreme overclock and 650 will cover you as well. neither will be enough if you SLi/xfire in the future... though there is no harm in getting the 650 in the event you want to put it in a different build down the line. the extra wattage might come in handy then. Whatever you want and your wallet likes.
