Hello,

H have created this system (not ordered yet)

case : BITFENIX SHINOBI USB3.0 BLACK
power supply : SEASONIC SSR-360GP G-360 360W
motherboard : ASUS H81-PLUS RETAIL
CPU : INTEL CORE I5-4570 3.20GHZ LGA1150 - BOX
GPU : ASUS GT640-2GD3 2GB PCI-E RETAIL
RAM : KINGSTON KVR16N11S8/4 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800
SSD : SAMSUNG MZ-7TE120BW 840 EVO SERIES SSD 120GB 2.5'' SATA3

I will be using this machine for web development (coding IDE Linux, Photoshop and MS excel in windows Virtual Machine, extra Virtual Machine for servers). Not interested in gaming (ok fine...maybe some league of legends) or overclocking. Windows VM will be, most of the time if not always, open in its own monitor (I have a dual 24'' monitor setup)?

The question is ... Will I benefit more from replacing the processor with an AMD FX 6350 and buy 16GB of ram? Or if both processors are overkill for my usage just replace it with an AMD FX 6350 and save some money and keep 8GB of ram? Any suggestion beyond that is welcome.

I think 6350 is about 50% slower in single thread applications. Will this be adequate for IDE, photoshop (no 3D, maily web design) and excel (basic data analysis), servers etc ?

Thanks
-Nick
