Hello everyone. Just got some quick questions here that are hopefully basic for some of you.

I am currently running an XFX 7870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150606

I plan to also purchase a 990FX board from Gigabyte.

I have an FX-8350 as well. not OC.

Read reviews many places my PSU is shitty. RAIDMAX 850W. But if it will get the job done (for now) i dont want to spend the money atm and get a new one.

I would like to XFire my cards. But will my 8350 bottleneck with no OC? And will my PSU be able to withstand this? I know the wattage is fine, but reliability is what i am worried about. So i would need a new PSU sooner or later... can any1 recommend one to me... one that might be able to handle CPU OC if i do decide to do it?

I plan to use this for BF4, CoD Ghosts, Dota 2... so some newer games... probably Titanfall when that comes out in March...

Thanks in advance!!

Well, you shouldn't need to overclock your CPU (nor would i recommend it if you're not changing out that PSU). The crossfire should be fine, though the more load you put on that PSU, the more likely it is to fail (and it's not a super low likelihood with that PSU)

i think you'd be fine on both accounts. the 8350 is a very good CPU, and BF4 will use all those cores.

also the PSU should handle 7870 crossfire just fine. total system pull would probably be around 600watt, so it's not too taxing, even for a cheaper PSU

Okay. I appreciate feedback. Now, if i choose to get one now, or if it fails... could you recommend one to me? Or atleast a brand and a wattage. I have been looking at XFX and Antec. I have have nothing but good things from XFX. But i know their PSU can get a little on the higher $ end. Using Newegg please?

Good ones would be stuff like XFX, Seasonic, and Corsair. Most good PSU's in the 750-850 watt range run about $100, so look at an xfx, a corsair 750 tx,hx, or hm, or a seasonic G-750.
