I'm trying to help a friend build his first desktop. His spending limit is $900. How much should we spend on each part, or what recommendations would you give us as far as specific brands/models are concerned?
Newegg is what I'm used to, but he wants to go to this tech shop (Fry's) that's a few hours away. Apparently they'll match any other price on any other website, so (supposedly) we can get good deals there.
