intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz overheating

My problem is before i never had a problem with over heating but now for some reason i guess i changed something or someshit and i can't figure out why my cpu keeps climbing up to the red when im playing a game it didn't used to do this before and it looks like all the overclocking features are turned off this is my speccy spec

Intel Core i7 2600K @ 3.40GHz 36 °C This stays stable until i run a game then it goes up to 90 in the red can some one help me ?

it's not the paste and it's not the fan only fan i have is the stock one but even tho it's been fine for weeks until today
 
I had the same issue with my core i5-2500k. Everything was fine for about 3 years then I started getting strange videocard driver crashing and I found out that my cpu was hitting 90 degrees. I replaced my thermal paste and brought the voltage down a bit and it resolved the issue.
