So after a bad experience with the BF4 Beta, I was wondering how it should compare to the game on release. I had a lot of lag and stuttering on the beta, hopefully I won't have to worry about this on the 29th. I get 60fps avg on Bf3 on full maxed out settings. On the bf4 beta i was barely getting 60 on everything set to the lowest settings.

My specs:
i5 3570k
gtx 660ti
8gb ram
gigabyte z77 mobo
1tb hdd
600w psu

Beta had quite a few issues. I can safely guarantee that you will have no issue running the game when it is released with that rig, even if not fully maxed out. There will be plenty of driver updates that will help out performance, and the official release will have many more optimizations. Also, an upgrade to windows 8 actually does help performance, (for me it eliminated the stuttering) and you will be able to grab DX11.1, which will further enhance the experience.

Something doesn't sound right with your system. BF4 ran fine for me after they released the patch after the first couple of days (nearly equivalent to how my system runs BF3). If your system runs BF3 fine, it should run BF4 fine - maybe a small drop in fps at similar settings. Did you update your drivers for the BF4 optimized drivers Nvidia released the day before the beta started?

I guarantee there is nothing wrong with the system. The beta seemed to be an overall fickle build...some people had no issues at all, while others had terrible framerate issues and stuttering.

I was simply suggesting that something might be wrong (e.g. older drivers) since he can play BF3 on Ultra just fine. A system that can play BF3 on Ultra at 60fps SHOULD be able to play BF4 at 55+ fps. Is it possible that there is nothing wrong and he just happens to be one of those people with that had issues with it, even after updating drivers? Of course. It's an old build of the game (by several months). However, guaranteeing nothing is wrong without any data seems like a bit of an overstatement if you ask me.

If by something wrong you mean outdated drivers, then absolutely. But I highly doubt it is anything more than that. Especially if he/she can play BF3 60+FPS. I don't know about 55+FPS for BF4 though, as the amount of extra visuals and a new engine will probably be a little more taxing than just 5 extra FPS.
