Hey what up guys.
I builded a new gaming pc and i am wondering if its good enough to last a for few years like 2-3.

case sharkoon t9 value white with one more fan in the front added and top cutted-opened.

Cpu core i7 3770k 4.5ghz
Cpu cooler corsair h100i with 2 more corsair performance fans added for push pull. It cant be mounted on my case thats why cutted the top. So the radiator is outside of the case

Mobo gigabyte z77x-ud3h

Ram 16gb g.skill tridentX 2133nhz dual channel

Ram cooler kingston hyperX blue

Psu ocz fatal1ty 750w 80+ plus bronze

Ssd kingston kc300 120gb
Hhd seagate 2.5inche 500gb

Gpu sapphire hd 7970 blue pcb

So how is this build going to perfom in the feature while planning on gaming new games on ultra?

I am on 27" ips 1080p display.

Also now after seldom 2 months they gifted me another high end tower i am planning on saling.

After selling it i will change my case to NZXT BIG PHANTOM WHITE amd my keyboard to corsair k90.

my second big question is to either buy one more hd 7970 for crossfire or to sell my one and go for gtx 780 or the new gtx 780ti when come out.

Whats you opinion guys?

You will be set for awhile. Funny thing is you have almost the same system that I have.. and honestly.. it kicks ass. Once games start to use more then 4 cores you can enable hyper threading and overclock the CPU to get even more goodies:)

Good build.. you shouldn't run into any problems.

Tnx pal :) by your sing you are not bad at all :)

I also prefer going to single gtx 780 or new gtx 780ti but the single gtx 780 cost 700euro best in greece (asus model). The sapphire hd 7979 cost 340euro and i already own 1. So the crossfire hd 7970 isnt better in perfomance vs single gtx 780? :/

A single card is by far better then crossfire or SLI. If you already have one 7970 it would be best to purchase a second one to save you the money. If you are okay with shelling out another $650 dollars to purchase a single card that is not compatible with your existing card be my guest. The 7970 is slightly less powerful then the 770.

Hallo @jkhoward yea we have similar build and indeed is prety powerfull. May i missundrestood but i am already overclocked to 4.5ghz and hyperthreading is ON. I have played crysis 3 all adsolutly maxed out and i never ever had a single moment of millisecond that it lagged or anything. Dedpite benchmarks showed 50 or so fps for our gpu the games was 100% smooth.

I know a single card wins but here 7970 cost 340 euro. Selling it used even on perfect condition it will be down to 250 maximum. So i need 450 euro to go for gtx 780. Well does this 110euro worth the perfomance gain if there is any at gtx 780 vs 7970 crossfire

And with our systems you should retain that performance for at least a year especially with Mantle and BF4! After that you will notice newer games running lower.

I would say it's worth it. I believe even the gtx 770 is bit better than 7970 crossfire, so yeah 780 will get even more performance enhancement. Plus crossfire has a lot problem that you wouldn't want to deal with it.

The 770 is NOT better than two 7970's CFX. Nice try.. A single 770 is better than a single 7970. 770 SLI is better than 7970 CFX. Don't try to push your fanboism on someone please.

Yes CFX has its issue. Yes sometimes they can be annoying. But the recent driver updates from AMD have made things MUCH better and they are continuing to address these issues now that they are aware of them. SLI can also be annoying.. I have had both.

Overall 780 does have better performance. And yes AMD has been working on CFX but they still known issues happening often.

7970 CFX > 780 in raw performance

Do you want to deal with the hassle of CFX?

If yes.. purchase another 7970 and save yourself $1000 (cost of 7970 and cost of 790)

If no.. purchase the 780!

:bounce:

Meh.. the power supply would be enough if you were not overclocking anything in the computer.. damn. So if you bought another GPU you would have to get another power supply too. It would still be cheaper though depending on what power supply you purchased.

You have the information in your hands to make the decision!

Please let me know on what you decide on doing though:)

Haha .. good luck man..
If you don't want to deal with CFX issues just invest your money on the 780.
If you are willing to deal with the problems I guess just grab the 7970

Hallo friends.
Right now i am getting ready for a week holiday in Hungary with my gf and familly. Right after i come back i will get the second pc and put it on sale. If i nothing about cfx changes from AMD i will go for a gtx 780. In summer i am running our family bussines and i am making lot of money thoose 3 months. So then i will go for another gtx 780 for sli. I think thats the best i can do...
