Hi guys I just bought a couple of 4gb g skill 2133 MHz sticks for my new asrock ext4. The problem comes when a tried to install the ram and the motherboard is giving me an error 55(memory not detected)and won't work at all , first the fan and lights inside did go on for a few seconds but then off again.
After that I came to realise that although I did check that the mobo supports ddr3 2133 MHz the "exact" model(f3-17000cl11d-8gbxl) is not on the memory support list from the website but there are some other g-skill 2133 MHz in it.
So it's that model number that important that has to be the same or maybe I have got a faulty mobo ,I don't know what to do...
Thanks for your answers in advance.

Has the mobo successfully booted before?

Try installing one DIMM at a time and see if your computer can post.

No mobo is brand new, and I have tried every ran stick on every slot, same result (error num 55). Do you know is this ram model should work on that mobo?
Coz I've seen some post online of other people saying that they have that combination and its working for them. So should it work?

Sounds like the motherboard is defective if you have everything installed correctly. Get it replaced and the system should be able to boot up with that RAM.

Thank you
