Is there a limit to how much power can go through the motherboard?

I'm overclocking my Opteron 165 CPU from 1.8 Ghz to 2.6 Ghz. According to eXtreme's Power Supply Calculator that ups the wattage to 159. I'm sure the CPU itself can handle that since a lot of people have gotten stable overclocks out of it at 2.7-2.8 Ghz, and my PSU has well more +12v amps than the calculator shows I need.

But can my motherboard (a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9) handle that much current going through it? I don't see anything in it's manual about power limits. Nor do I think I've ever heard the subject come up in any discussion about overclocking/motherboards/PSUs/etc. Is it just not an issue?

Solution
It is not so much the motherboard(but the traces to have to be a certain size for extra current to flow without adding heat). You are looking at a limit with the power regulation system.

I do not think you should overload it with that overclock as long as you are not requiring excessive voltage to get to that point.

If your PSU is more than 500W you should be fine and motherboard you have to worry about it if your case not cooled inf or your cooling system is bad, Also if you have bad cooling system for your CPU dont overclock.
