I only build on Asus, the Rock and GB, the other brands or either poor quality, or have poor QC (quality Control) i.e. even though I don't build on them I get more mobo problem calls on MSI mobos than any two other manufacturers put together, even if they arrive alive, often see port failures (SATA, ethernet, USB, et al) bad DRAM slots etc - it's like they never check anything during the manufacturing process

Can save some money in a couple of places, but don't really want to. Solid Cpu choice, could drop down to the 3570k for more consistent overclocking, but don't need to. Great motherboard for the price. Ram right now sucks for deals, so I tried to stick with the color red based on your case choices. Then I switched out the case to save money to one that is my most recommended one for the price and features. Standard 1tb HDD. Standard optical drive. Win8.1 OS. Your builds include what are essentially budget Psu's. For your budget you'll want a better quality one, which the Ocz ZT is. The 280x trades blows with the nVidia 770, but at a much cheaper price point, and is at a perfect price for this build.

ok thanks

I've had an MSI motherboard before and didn't have any issues. That particular MSI(GD-65) got a very good review from Tom's. I love Asus and Gigabyte though, don't care as much for AsRock because of their website for updating drivers(it's picky, yes), but the quality is good.

Didn't say they are BAD, just that because of their poor QC chances of getting a BAD ONE are very high compared to others - and as a builder, if it goes bad, then instead of making any money off a build you end up losing money, often quite a bit i.e. have to tear down the build, do the RMA bit, shipping, et al, provide a loaner while all this goes on, then build the rig all over again
