i just upgraded my graphics card from the 6570 to the 7750 and my computer still thinks it's using the 6570. I made sure i uninstalled the 6xxx drivers and installed the 7xxx drivers. after installing the 7xxx drivers i uninstalled and reinstalled them and it still didn't recognized it. programs like dxdiag still list it as the 6570 as well as Tomb Raider. I still get the extra speed and graphics capabilities, it's just calling it something else. How can i fix it to where it says the correct name?
did you make sure the drivers were for your specific card and os
OS, yes. the graphics drivers from AMD just say HD series and i choose 7xxx. the only other one from the 7000 series that's separate is the 7790.
try using the cd that comes with the gpu and see if that works clean the drivers before though
well i installed the cd first, then updated from AMD. Do you think i should try the auto detect after using the disc again? The last few times i tried using the auto detect was on my 6570 and it said it couldn't connect to the server.
you can try but im not too sure try the cd with out using the amd drivers online and see if that helps
didn't work. when i go to screen resolution and click advanced settings it still says 6570 and that it's 400 mhz, however, MSI Kombuster recognized that it's the 7750 at 880 mhz. also, if i do try the auto detect it just says the drivers are up to date and lists the graphics hardware as 1x1002-0x683f PCIE and in the bottom gray area it says "Sorry, something went wrong."
