Hey, I'm in need of some information on recent networking technology (software/hardware wise) in the past 2-3 years and cannot for the life of me find appropriate information. I need this information to help me update my small business network. So if anybody has some websites/articles I can read through to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Networking has not changed much in the past 10 years it has just gotten faster. Sure there are newer routers all the time but they still do the same thing allow you to connect to the internet.

If your current network is fast enough to get what you need done then you do not need to upgrade. In most cases the first thing you would upgrade would be your connection to the internet since that tends to be the part that slows you down the most. Then you only need to upgrade stuff that has changed because you have new requirements...ie you stream video internally and you did not before.

Replacing 2-3 year old equipment that is not failing likely will just result in you having less money and not much improvement......other than bragging rights to your friends.
