So im gonna switch to an intel mobo, i5-4670k haswell.

Atm i have and gigabyte 7970 oc edition and i plan on getting a second one later or an R7-280x, So how much power would that need in crossfire, do the normal oc 7970 or the R7-280x draw less power? i will go with gigabyte if i go second gpu, so what gigabyte card draw less power?

Atm i have a thermaltake smart 730w, but remember i will go intel haswell so it will draw less power then my current amd cpu.

i have keyboard, mouse, headset, controller, some external harddrives some with own power supply and some that is direct from usb, so all those draw a little power.

And i have 5 led fans, 2 normal ones, will add 1 fan more later.

Here is the rest of my spec, so will the 730W be enough with haswell mobo and cpu then?

Solution
7970 has 300 watt power consmption r9 280x has a 250 watt power consumption youl need 550 watt's there.
and put another 300 watt for the rest of the components you need more than 730 watts.
a realy good 850 watt minimum should be eficient.

OK thanks.

But aslong i dont stress it like add a other gpu i should be fine and have no worries? so far i had no problems at all with it. Will this psu work with a haswell mobo? that needs the extra 12v or w/e im not 100% sure what it needs from the psu. only read a little that haswell have like a "sleep mode"

Yeah, for a single 7970/R9-280x that unit should be fine, I'm just concerned about it not being able to go to its advertised limits.

EDIT: It appears that your current PSU is not Haswell ready :( I hear that you can deactivate the new sleep states, but I don't know if that's the whole problem and I'm not even sure if that works, so I'm not really the person to ask on that front.

On my backup gaming rig (in another room) I use a 700W Platinum PSU for a Haswell i5 W8.1 Asus Crossfire R9 280, and it runs great.
Better than 89% of all results according to 3DMark Firestrike at 1080p.

It also has 4 other hard drives in there.

I was even thinking of going SLi with this one... already at 850W.
