Hello, I am currently running one XFX 7970 powered by my Corsair CX750M PSU. Will this PSU be able to handle a second one of these cards?

If anybody knows, that would help me so much... Easpecially if you have the same PSU and card(s).

Rest of my PC goes: FX-8350, H80i Cooler, 1x 7200rpm sata, 1x sata ssd, 4xddr3 dimms, blu-ray reader, sabertooth gen3 r2.0 and 6 case fans.

Thanks :)

Yes, you can easily handle another 7970. I run 2 7970s in Crossfire along with a 2500k and an 850TX. Heavily overclocked (2500k @4.8GHz/1.37v, 7970s @1150/1575 stock voltage) I'm not even hitting 600w DC. Of course, the 8350 is more power hungry than the 2500k, but all that means is that if you put an insane overclock on your whole system you might peak at 700w DC.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm now convinced that another card will run just fine on my PSU :)

He doesn't seem to be speaking from experience, not to mention that none of his math makes any sense.

EDIT: He may accidentally have been right, however. The PSU you linked in that thread failed tests in multiple reviews, and may not be a great choice for CF 7970s.

How much wattage would you say i need for my system if i crossfire and put a second gigabyte 7970 oc, or a gigabyte R9-280x?

And what is the bad things about my psu? thx

750W will be sufficient. And the only bad thing about your PSU is that it is not optimized for high-performance builds. That's it. If you read up about it on Corsair's website, they even stated it themselves. Nothing else that I can tell is bad about it. It will handle your CrossFireX configuration fine. I would personally advice that you don't overclock too high.
