I have an MSI GE60 0NC laptop w/ the i5-3230M CPU and NVidia GeForce GT 650M (2GB GDDR5) GPU.
Recently, while I’m playing Diablo 3 and a few other online games, the game has sudden and intense skips that last for about 1 second (I think it’s frame rate skips), happening when there are a lot of effects on screen. I’ve played D3 before and didn’t have any problems, so I don’t know what is causing the skips occurring now. Other than the skips (which typically cause a death) my frame rate is fine (50+). My graphics card software is up to date, but I am thinking it may be my GPU that's the culprit.
Any ideas/suggestions on what is causing the skips (and how to fix it)?
Thanks.
