Hello.
I was looking to get a new PC and I was wondering which CPU would be better for gaming and photo edition:
- i3 4330 3.5Ghz -- 105€
- i5 4570 3.2Ghz -- 162€
Does it worth to pay almost 60€ more for the i5?
Thanks

Definitely, the i5 is much much better, but if you're heavy editing better get an i7 where you could use the HT
If you want to get better performance, get the i5 4570K and overclock it :)

I cant afford the i7. Even the i5 would be hard for me :/

Get the i5 :)

But that's just half the story. What graphics card will you be using?

Ok I looked at that thread. Can't really get anywhere without knowing your budget.

For photo editing might favor an Nvidia card, but seriously you won't have much of a difference. It's not like your in a photo editing competition where every second counts.

As for gaming, the term gaming is very general, and tends to gravitate towards achieving 60fps in BF4 1080p Ultra or something along those lines.

Give us a budget and gaming performance target. Tell us what games you play, at what resolution. Then we can start making solid progress :)

Get a better graphics card, I suggest a HD 7850. Doesn't have to be factory overclocked. Because it's easy as hell to overclock on your own until it matches a 7870XT. At that level you'l do very well in BF4 1080p with high settings:

Mabey you consider going with amd cpu instead like fx 8350 coz it haz 8 cpus which would come very handy in edit and games like bf4 and SC2, if you are on budget i dont see pint on going newest chipset cpus while u can get beast performance with alot cheaper sets. I have i5 3570k oc at 4.1 ghz and it runs all games without sweat. i would change this aerocool psu to something diiferent like corsair, seasonic etc because aerocool psus isnt that reliable overall

The prize between the 1150 socket and 1155 are just few euros. Even the mobo is better for that prize i think.
About AMD CPU, I'm really kinda scared about that. Not a huge fan of AMD....did they work ok now?

The R9 270X is great! Much better than the HD 7790.

Alternatively an AMD build is also viable like kristian said, but I wouldn't do so if I had to settle for the FX 8320 because it isn't as good as the 4570.
If anyone thinks otherwise please link benches, not for me but for the buyer's benefit...

Your gonna need an aftermarket cooler for an AMD processor though.

() the i5 4570 is much faster than the AMD fx 83**
so go for the i5 4570 or the 4440
