Hi

I've got a Dell Latitude 100L and when I try to load a new copy of Windows 7 from the dvd rom, it shows a white bar with "Loading Files..."......but when the bar gets to the right of the screen, the screen just goes blank.

Sometimes it just reboots too when it gets to the right of the screen.

Any ideas?

thanks

Processor . .Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 2.8 GHz
Intel® 852GMV integrated UMA graphics chipset
1.25 GB of RAM

i was able to get Windows 7 loaded on, now my problem is that I cannot find drivers for video/graphics and lan connection. seems that they must not be compatiable.

anyone any advice? ditch the laptop lol?

Your RAM spec doesn't meet the criteria to install Win 7.

You need 2GB as recommended by Microsoft to install Win 7.

You have to replace the 256MB RAM with one 1GB stick(that should match with the existing 1GB stick).
