Hi guys, I just built a computer yesterday, I downloaded windows 8 succesfully but when i went to install the motherboard drive on the cd it did it fine and asked me to restart, i did so and when it reboot it got stuck in some windows 8 loop thing saying that your pc is having issues with this, and then it goes into a repair boot which leads to the same message, eventually forcing me to do a clean install again. Now the gpu drivers do work fine and everything else does too, question is, do i need those drivers on the cd? i have the asus p8z77-v pro motherboard, when its on the windows 8, its really fast, it reads all my usb's, connects to the internet fine and theres already realtekhd audio on it? so have all these things already updated? should i download the latest update drivers from asus itself?because when i downloaded them it just gives me a compressed zip file and i dont know what to do with those :( please help

Solution
Go to the Asus website for your m/b downloads (HERE).

Put in your operating system in the dropdown box and a list of drivers and bios will open. The driver files are self extracting zips - just double click and they will create a folder. Open the folder and select the AsusSetup.exe file and double click - the drivers will self install.

For the bios, download the manual for your m/b (same site) and read the instructions in there on how to update your bios. Make sure you download the complete manual - the file size is about 10.5 mb.
