OK so here's the deal.
I have some spare CPU's and MOBO's lying around and i wanna build a pc out of them.
CPU's are:
Q9550 Intel Core 2 Quad
Intel Core 2 Duo 6600
MOBO's are:
GA-EP45-UD3 (DDR2 ram only - 16 GB max RAM) Can overclock Q9550 to 4.0+ GHz)
Asus P5G41T- M LX (DDR3 only - 8 GB max RAM) (Can overclock Q9550 only to 3.6 GHz)
Asus P5B Deluxe (DDR2 only)
Here comes the puzzle: i don't have any rams to spare. So i'm gonna need to find/buy some.
But which mobo should i place my Q9550? Can Q9550 benefit from DDR3 technology in this picture?
Please help me to find the best combination with these components.
I have also a spare EN7950 GT graphics card i can use so G41 chipset is not my absolute option (as you know, G41 chipset contains VGA chipset within).
