I have 3 Linksys Routers.
I'm having trouble setting up my third WRT54g-Rg router as a Access Point. I have a ea6700 as the main wired to WRT54g in the garage that works fine as a Access Point. I wired my 3rd WRT54G-RG to my ea6700 as an Access Point, & can not get a wireless signal at all from it. I duplicated the settings on the WRT54G-RG & WRT54g. The only settings exceptions are the channel & IP Addresses. The IP Address on the WRT54g is 192.168.1.199 & the IP Address on the WRT54G-RG is 192.168.1.198. And the main router ea6700 is 192.168.1.1. Is there any thing else I'm missing?

Solution
It may be the security type that is set on the AP routers -- probably WPA2 on the EA6700 and not on the others, and laptops can be a little more picky about that than phones.

You might try disabling and then re-enabling the radio of the 54G-RG. I assume that you set up the 54G-RG with a static or reserved dynamic address in the EA6700 like you did for the 54G. You might check the cable to insure its integrity. Otherwise it is possible that the radio is malfunctioning.

A quick test would be to swap the 54G into the place of the 54G-RG.

I just found out that the WRT54g & WRT54g-rg are not working wirelessly. I try my iphone wirelessly to both WRT's. And it works wirelessly. Strange that my laptop won't work wirelessly on the WRT's but will work wirelessly with my ea6700. I must have the settings wrong on both, but why would it work with the iphone. By the way, I did disable my iphone cellular data & making sure that it is wireless to my wifi network.
