Hello
I have been looking on ebay at the custom gaming computers and have seen quite a few that look good. Most seem to use AMD hardware and i was wondering if these computers will be good for gaming and not just be average. I know a bit about computers but i am just not sure about graphics cards and processors. For example the one im looking at has 16gb RAM, with a six core Fx6300 amd bulldozer processor over clocked to 4.1ghz. It also says the graphics card is a hd7750 which claims to be 4gb. Does this sound like a good PC ? I was just trying to research graphics cards and wasnt findimg much help. Is a hd7750 really 4 gb ? Thanks

there is no 7750 that is 4gb. It's a basic card, I have one. It plays modern games like bf3-bf4 at low-med res, about 40fps, nothing special. The other problem with these systems, is they usually use the cheapest parts possible to try to make as much profit as possible. I will bet the power supply is some cheap no-name $20 one. The RAM and motherboard are probably no name crap. They're cheap, and cheap for a reason.

What's your budget, could probably build something better yourself, or if you want premade, there is a few companies that do a good job at making premade systems that don't cheap on parts so much., A good psu is a good basis for any pc, and that's the things people selling pc's cheap out on first.

most ebay systems are overrated and designed to fool unknowing users.

for example. some times on ebay this is a 4 gigabyte card. Now it is NOT

You will also see MANY ebay systems adding cpu cores to sound better so an old e6600 @ 2.4 ghz became a e6600 @ 4.8hgz

You have to be careful with what you actually get.

Do not buy custom built on ebay. If you want to go that route buy direct from a custom builder company (Cyber Power or similar, not a recommendation just an example). Ebay systems offer no warranty or support. The seller can say just about anything in the way of specs. and hardware configuration. Many custom system Sellers on ebay are scamers.

I don''t think I've ever seen an HD 7750 having 4 GB of Vram. The best 7750 I've seen so far was a version with 2 GB of Vram; but that won't help you much over the 1 GB version since the card itself isn't that powerful to sustain the additional amount of memory. The rest of the components seem to be good enough but now depends on the final price they are asking for since they might charge you more than what the PC's value really is for that "4 GB 7750" card.

On short even 2 GB is overkill for a 7750 and since the new series from AMD are coming you might want to take a look at what those cards will offer.

Cheers guys, some seem to be from a company so i thought they would be reliable but when i research these components they are not very good

The GPU on that one will most likely get the same performance as the 7750 as it is a re-badge if I remember that right. Also the other specs are even worse than the other having a quad-core Bulldozer CPU which was a big fail and less amount of RAM. You might want to make a custom build IMO. It will be way better than whatever custom build you find across the internet.

Do not buy any of those ebay builds. Build your own for similar price and more performance.

That second one make me laugh too.

I mean putting a benchmark and stopping at that card to make it look good.

Look at all the cards between the 6670 and the 7770.

So just to clarify, are these poor gaming computers for playing games such as company of heroes 2 and battlefield etc without stuttering and slow performance ?
