You need to increase you budget at least to 6000-7000 INR to get a good GPU for your money, for 3000INR you won`t have good fps in new games. Your games will run in higher fps with your monitor because it does not support higher resolutions and your picture quality won`t be that good. Btw what GPU do you have now?

StarBG is right. At your current budged you won't be able to acquire such a good card to satisfy your needs. I think the best card you can go for might be a 7790 which will be around 9000 INR for you if I'm right? At that resoultion you will get good frames but since you got used to that monitor I think the lack of details won't give you too much trouble.

The CPU can handly r9 270x without problems but he must increase the budget or wait some time and gather more money to buy a good GPU. Can you also show a website where we can see the exacty prices of the GPU`s in India?

The power supply is also an important factor to decide whether the GPU would work , so please tell us what it is. One way ( or at least the only way I know ) of knowing what your PSU is , is to open your case and take a picture of it.
We would just need it's specifications.

The i3 2120 is a 65 watt CPU, a 700 watt power supply does not seem necessary.

This seems to be the original poster's PSU
http://www.techcomindia.com/index.php?vaction=productdetail&navact=computer&prodid=817&catid=100

But it does not have any details, like how many amps on the 12 Volt rail.

To the original poster:
What video card do you have now? You can use dxdiag to check, under the Display tab.

ya with his power supply he won't be able to use a new GPU at all guys there is not the power.... to even power a GPU.... let alone everything else in his computer... so if he wants a GPU he wont be able to use a Hard drive, CD/DVD drive, USB devices ... then that alone won't have the power to power a GPU.... He is better off buying a 550w+ power supply with PCI-E Rails....

The original poster can go to a HD 6670, but he would have to double his budget to 6,135 Rupees and the HD 6670 does not need PCI-E rails.

The original poster can go to a HD 7750, but that is even more at 7,734 Rupees and the HD 7750 does not need PCI-E rails.

Considering the original poster games at 1280x720 is there another choice which is closer to his budget?

Get the GDDR5 version , it's better. DDR3 1GB is horrible.
For your PSU , I think you should be fine for the HD 6670. But I'm not too sure for future upgrades.

I recommend the Corsair CX430. It's cheap and reliable and is 80+ Bronze certified , so is more efficient which means you save money on your monthly electrical bills.

Here's one from Flipkart
