PWM connectors on fans?

Oh. So looking like this:
Looks like it's for daisy-chaining, which is cool. You can just plug plug the 3-pin directly into the 4-pin and then plug the other end into the motherboard.

Im not sure that quite what i ment this is the fan i have and it has multiple connectors?
