i just bought this an asus m5a99x evo r2.0 mother board. I am using a amd phenom 2 cpu. A asus eah 6970 direct cu2 video card . corsair 16 gb 1 stick memory ddr3 . the board wont boot . nothing comes on the video screen not even a bios startup. the board has a built in memory compatabiliy button but the board will only take max 8 gb stick memory per slot. Is my memory to much on 1 stick for bootup,

Your MB can support 8GB single stick RAM in the slot. Here is from asus: "4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory"
