R9 280x with OCZ 700w

Hi
I am going to buy a Gigabyte R9 280x Windforce OC and i have a FX 8350. Will my OCZ SXS 700w can handle it ?
In the specs it say that 600w is good, but in the Sapphire one says 750w for the r9 280x.
Can someone help me please?

Yes 700 watts is enough. It is 600 except Sapphire expects everybody to have crappy PSU's.

And dont think that the 280X is a new card, its like when NVIDIA modified GK104 and put it in the 700 series. Really we are talking about a 7970.

I had a kind of a bad history with running a 7970 on a modxstream "600W" PSU. You shouldnt have those probs, Sirtec was ok 3 years ago but now they are soo much better.

It is not their best but will run the card, I do not like their 4 rail +12volts and there have been examples where people have overloaded rails on that design by not taking care distributing the load between the rails. So I would seriously consider putting it in the closet as a spare in case something happened with the new one.

I used a 700W PSU with the Gigabyte R9 280X, works just fine, as long as it has adequate +12V current.

What I'm wondering is if 750W is enough for crossfire 280X? If not, I guess I should get a bigger PSU, I plan on getting a second R9 280X when tax refunds comes around.
