A few Dual Monitors Questions

So I just installed another monitor a few hours ago for the first time and it just feels like being in a small command centre.

Now I do have a couple of questions:
- Is it possible to open programs, of which icons are on my second monitors desktop, on the second monitor, because now everything opens on the first one, no matter on which monitors desktop the icon lies (I hope you understand my point here)

- When I'm in a certain game (Lets say Arma 3) I press escape ingame, so I can move around my mouse over both monitors (the game runs on the main monitor, while there is desktop shown on the second one), and if I want to quickly check something on the second monitor, the second I click on its desktop, the game minimises on my main monitor. Is it possible to configure so that the game keeps running without minimising while I can do other stuff on my second monitor? (This goes for all games)

For now i've only encountered these two "problems".

If that helps, the main monitor is in Full HD and the second one is 1280 x 1024, graphics card used here is the Radeon HD 7970 Ghz Edition.

Looking forward for any solutions

I'm not aware of any way to change where programs open by default...but i'll look into it. As far as the games minimizing, that's normal behavior, which can be fixed by running games in windowed mode. You'll lose a few frames per second, but you'll be able to do things on the other screen while having the game stay open on the other.

For your first question:
Most applications open in the exact same location and size as they were when last closed. It writes those values tot he registry on close.

So...Open the application in question. Move the window to where you would like it to open next. Close it.
The next time you open, it will be in that last closed location.

Not all applications do this, but probably most.

Pretty awsome Idea, but I'll have to get used to that windows outline border which bothers me a little, but it definetly helps

Great tip, but as a guy who usually has an internet browser opened on both of the monitors this doesn't help much hehe. And using two different browsers is out of the question :)
