Hey everyone,

So i was just looking at the battlefield 4 graphic benchmark and had a 49 fps average.

I was thinking of overclocking it but not too sure if thats a good idea with this card.

So my question is has anyone done it before? how was it? what are the risk associated with it? and the specs of your computer.

Thanks in advance!

Okay! but what about the power supply? at the moment i have a 600W. If i want to overclock it a bit (lets say 60fps for ultra on battlefield 4) then is the 600W not feasible?

ahh mmm the CPU i have is i7 4770 @ 3.50GHz and 8GB of ram.
I think this should be okay?
also it seems like you have experience with 7950? have you ever experienced blue screen of death??

with a 7950? no... i've seen plenty of bsods over the years though.

if an overclock fails in msi afterburner you can bsod or lock up... don't worry, msi afterburner won't apply an overclock that crashed the system, so when you load up windows it won't crash again.

ahh okay! thanks :)
and last question, when overclocking, do I just do it when i play the game? or can i just leave it?

Thanks! :D

msi afterburner needs to load to make the overclock "happen" so you would set it up to run when windows loads if you want it "always on," or just manually load it up before you play your game then turn it off when you don't need it. it comes with some benching software so you can "test" how stable your overclock is. I've found some overclocks will pass the benching and still fail in a game. so don't get discouraged if it crashes in your game anyway. Its more for ballpark testing. just drop the settings a smudge and see if that works. it's a lot of trial and error, but you can see some pretty significant gains from a good overclock so its worth it.
