I want to install OSX onto a hard drive that previously had Windows Vista on it so it is in NTFS format. I don't have a mac and wanted to know if there is some way (or tool) to format it to mac so I can install OSX on it.
Take a look at http://www.tonymacx86.com/home.php . That site will give you better idea of what you need to do. When the install boots there is a Disk partitioner that you need to use to format the disc for OS X. I run OS X 10.8.5 on my system as a dual boot. But one thing to note the hardware requirements for OS X are very tight so unless you have the correct hardware it is not going to work. It is not something you can just jump into with out knowing what chipset/CPU/GPU/Sound/Nic and so on you have in your system.
