Hello

I am still deciding between the FX 8350 and i7 4770k but found this cpu, Intel Intel Xeon E3-1230V3 Haswell 3.3GHz

How would this cpu do for gaming, 3D design, 3D rendering, and video editing?

Solution
Intel's Xeon E3 series are very similar to their Core series counterparts. The E3-1270v3 is basically a 4770, but higher binned and without integrated graphics. The 4770k performs slightly (I'm talking <= 1%) better than the 1270v3.
Since the processors are basically equivalent, the questions would be whether or not you want to overclock. At stock speeds, they will basically perform the same, and when you overclock the 4770k it will perform better.

The Intel Xeon E3-1230V3 is more of a server CPU if I'm not mistaken. I think the 4770k would be the best choice for your needs. I do all the same things you do with my 4770k and it smokes my old FX 8150.

So its not the same as a 4770k minus the onboard graphics?
How about the v2 version?
