Intel's Xeon E3 series are very similar to their Core series counterparts. The E3-1270v3 is basically a 4770, but higher binned and without integrated graphics. The 4770k performs slightly (I'm talking <= 1%) better than the 1270v3.
Since the processors are basically equivalent, the questions would be whether or not you want to overclock. At stock speeds, they will basically perform the same, and when you overclock the 4770k it will perform better.
