My friend wants me to build him a pc after he seen my new one. I have all Intel stuff.

He wants to go AMD but wants to run NVIDA cards gtx760 *2.

My question is that a good idea ? I would have thought the system would run better with all AMD stuff ( he wants 3d vision )
I don't want him running into trouble with conflicts, games not playing properly, driver issues etc:

Is it ok to go ahead with this type of setup ?
Thx

Hello.
He will be fine don't worry.
Be sure to use a good AMD CPU for this combination like a FX8350.
:)
edit: also be sure that the motherboard will have 2x x16 PCI-E v2.0 slots.

If he wants 3D AMD is completely worthless, no community fixes, crap monitors, no games that work. Plus since he is going multi GPU SLI is unarguably better than Crossfire.

The 280X is only a bit more than the 760 and quite a bit faster, but due to his usage scenario its no use. Stick with Nvidia.

Thought you meant GPU's. Like others said, neither Intel or AMD perform any better than one another when paired with either GPU manufacturer, but Intel is a better choice if its in budget.

The processor brand has no effect on video card(s) performance.

Hi thx for replies

He will be running fx8350.
I was worried being AMD system it might be better suited to AMD GPU and run smoother then a Nvida GPU.
